At HONEY BEE HAPPYit is all about “FOR THE LOVE OF BEES” …
Our passion for bees started at an early age. We have both come from families where ourGrandads wereBeekeepers. As children, they shared their passion and knowledge and taught us aboutthe wisdom of thebees. A phrase my Grandad would often be heard saying isthat “The Bees know Best!”.
We have taken our passion from Ethical Beekeepers into the Bee Farmers Realm by continuing to followour ancestors down theethical route of beekeeping. We believe in doing it the traditional way, which ismore commonly referred to as ‘The Artisan Way’.
Over the last few years our family business has expanded itsbee population by acquiring more hives.Weare so grateful to the wonderful people in our community who have supported our business throughoutHampshire & Surrey and continue to do so. By sharing our values, their support enables us to continue toincrease the population of our Honey Bees which in turn helps us to reduce thedecline of these amazing
We produceunprocessed, natural, raw honeythat comes straight from the hive. We only remove thesurplus honey that the bees don’t need, as a strong full colony makes far too much to eat themselves. Withour honey we can trace every jar back to a specific Hive, WE EVEN NAME OUR HIVES, butthat is a story fora different day!
At HONEY BEE HAPPY wecantrace our honey very easily because of our ‘Host a Hive Scheme’. Due to ourhives not being in one massarea, we are able to distribute our honey to lots of areas. We scatter our hivesthroughout villages and townswhichcontributes towards the wonderfulassortment of different tastinghoney due to the variety of food available to the bees. We pride ourselves on our ethics and therefore
don’t produce honey in large quantities. This method does take up a lot more of our beekeepers’ time, butwe believe it’s worth it! We are proud of our heritage and stick to our mission, beliefs and what ourGrandads taught us, to produce honey theTraditional ‘Artisan’ Way.
For every jar of Honey Bee Happy Honey sold, a percentage of our profit is donated to Hart WildlifeRescue,Bee conservation & local communities. We are also very excited to announce that we will be taking on our1st trainee employee fromthe local community next year!
Thank you for all your continued support in helping us to do what we do “FOR THE LOVE OF BEES!”.
Having spent almost half of my life with allergies (I’m still gaining new ones...) and the last 6/7 years of ill health due to chronic illnesses, I have researched, tested and fully believe in the positive impact we have on our mind, body, health and wellbeing... Wait for the best bit... at the same time reducing our impact & footprint on the earth. As my business grows I hope to open your minds to a lifestyle change, not a fad, by taking easy to implement, small adjustments at a time.
